*ZOOM INFOMATION TO BE SENT AT A LATER DATE.

Join us for the kickoff of our Summer Virtual Series as we journey to New York City and the French Basque Country for a special visit to RW Guild Gallery and the studio of artist Ludmilla Balkis.

Founded by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, Roman and Williams Guild opened in 2017 as a modern-day guild celebrating timeless design, natural materials, and master craftsmanship. The Guild features their own designs alongside a curated selection of global artisan goods and fine craft in ceramics, stone, and glass.

Our visit highlights Grasp the Mountains Then Let Them Go, a solo exhibition by Ludmilla Balkis. Known for minimalist forms exploring nature and structure, Balkis presents a new series of her technically complex ‘Hodei’ sculptures—slender bases blooming into wide mouths—rendered in an all-white palette using glazes made from foraged materials. These works push the boundaries of ceramic art and material expression.
