The Martin and Judith Schwartz Art Collection is an eclectic one of clay, glass, painting, sculpture, and decorative art; its primary focus is figurative ceramic sculpture, Art Deco Noritake porcelain, contemporary American studio pottery, and vintage and contemporary jewelry. Included are works by Chuck Close, Roy De Forest, Steven DeStaebler, Kathy Butterly, Peter Voulkos, Viola Frey, Robert Arneson, Akio Takamori, Sol LeWitt, and numerous emerging national and international artists.
Currently president of the Museum of Ceramic Art-NY (moca-ny.org), Judy will also introduce us to a major project they are collecting, the Ceramic World Destinations, a database of over 4000 international locations for ceramic art.
